Disney Theatrical Group is currently seeking a passionate self-starter for a summer internship in the Production Department. The Production team intern will gain real-world experience in theatrical production, touching on all areas of producing and operating large musicals, from the teams working on some of the most successful Broadway shows (The Lion King & Aladdin) and North American tours (Frozen, The Lion King & Aladdin). The intern will also gain insight into both the business and creative aspects of production development, including creative, finance, legal, and marketing.

This internship is a full-time commitment in the NYC, New York area from May 27, 2025 - August 8, 2025.

What You Will Do:
• Assist the Production and Technical Production department in work related to ongoing worldwide productions of The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast as well as several titles in early production and development
• Partner with Stage Management staff on development projects and liaison with the Production Manager
• Track data on global productions
• Support load in and load outs
• Shadow Production Supervisors to learn how to create production schedules
• Shadow the Archivist's archival process and learn about the technologies utilized
• Attend production meetings
• Shadow a Local One crew member on Aladdin and/or Lion King to learn how shows are technically run in a Broadway environment
• Research projects, as assigned

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Genuine Interest in the theatre industry
• Interest in pursuing a career in theatre production or management in any area
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• A creative, collaborative, and positive attitude, with an eagerness to learn

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
• Drafting skills (CAD or VWX), a plus
• Theatrical management and/or technical production classes, a plus

Education:
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in theater, business or related area
• Interest in production management, stage management, and/or technical direction

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information:
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm EST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
• Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the New York City, New York area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22 per hour.
