The Walt Disney Studios includes Lucasfilm, Pixar, Walt Disney Animation, 20th Century Studio, Searchlight, Walt Disney Pictures, and Marvel Studios. The Content Security team supports these banners in protecting content creation through effective problem-solving, authentic partnerships, and technical expertise. Our team drives towards goals that include:

• tailoring security solutions to meet our banner's needs
Our clients are the Studios, and we assess applications, vendors, and sites that each banner uses to create their unique world-class content.

We're looking for a Content Security intern who will deliver outstanding service to our Studios and keep their magical intellectual property secure as they make their content.

Specific Responsibilities
• Assist the Production Content Security team in communicating production needs to technical/Content Security teams and serve as a translator between technical/Content Security teams and production staff.
• Manage multiple productions and timelines simultaneously.
• Anticipate studio production needs and communicate across technical teams
• Support the process of defining key content security requirements for all major studio productions
• Work closely with multiple business units globally to provide content security guidance and support
• Drive delivery of Content Security services by partnering directly with studios to understand the production slate, status, workflow, and tools

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Awareness of Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to content security and intellectual property protection, such as MPAA guidelines and copyright laws.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency or familiarity with security tools, encryption methods, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems relevant to protecting media content.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multi-functional teams, explain security concepts, and potentially interact with content creators and stakeholders.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Ability to think creatively to anticipate potential security vulnerabilities and propose innovative solutions within the context of entertainment content.
• Adaptability and Passion for Entertainment: A keen curiosity about the entertainment industry and a willingness to adapt to the unique challenges and requirements of securing digital content in this field.
• Teamwork and Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work in a team, as content security often involves collaboration with various departments, including legal, IT, and content creation teams.

Education

Currently enrolled or graduated within the past six months from an accredited college/university, earning a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field.

Additional Information

Am I Eligible?
• At the time of application, you must be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
• Must provide full work availability.
• Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are May/June - August/September 2024. Interns must be fully available for the duration of a 12-week assignment.
• Please note the safety and well-being of our teams is very important to us. Based on government recommendations, we will determine whether this program will be in-person at our Burbank, CA studio or virtual in the coming months.

The pay rate for this role in Burbank, CA, is $40.00 per hour.
