The Business Insights team at Disney Entertainment is responsible for helping key stakeholders across marketing, business development and more to refine their strategy and get useful insights on efforts in-market. Our portfolio of brands include Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, 20th Century and Searchlight. Disney+ Hotstar and Disney+ Marketing and Strategy is also a key focus alongside our key releases.

The Business Insights Intern would provide support in custom research initiatives for Disney Entertainment across Southeast Asia (SEA), encompassing quantitative as well as qualitative projects to investigate consumer behaviour across markets. This role will gain exposure in the planning and execution of research projects, coming up with actionable insights to support business decision making process in Disney.

This role is based in Singapore and is responsible for supporting the Business Insights (Disney Entertainment) team and will largely focus on Southeast Asia markets, with support on North Asia when needed.

Responsibilities:

This role looks to support analysis and thoughtful insights across a range of different areas, examples of key insights include:

Support on key research projects
• Conduct analysis and validation of data and key trends across SEA Markets, particularly across Disney+ Hotstar performance across brand tracking, as well as Customer Satisfaction and Termination surveys (examples of our regular reporting).
• Undertake data analysis where necessary to prepare timely and insightful topline results and report preparation.
• Support in set up of new ad hoc projects via survey/questionnaire set up and link checking across various changes and markets.
• Monitor fieldwork progress and communicate with key stakeholders on status.

Deep dive/ad hoc projects into key areas for Disney entertainment
• Outside of key reporting cycles, deep dive into existing databases to uncover key trends and answer questions across a range of different areas. Examples include Franchise deepdives to inform strategy planning/opportunities for future titles or exploration of key content triggers and differences by market.

Market trends, landscape and competitor overviews
• Serve as the dedicated team member on competitor news, competitor trends with viewing via external data and title releases.
• Feed in key analysis and news into relevant reporting throughout Performance Trackers and other internal surveys to contextualise results and improve presentations to key stakeholders.
Other relevant areas could be:
• Supporting on North Asia market research where needed
• Administrative work where needed (e.g. invoicing and vendor liaison)

Internship Requirements:
• Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree
• Still an undergraduate and not yet graduated during the internship period
• Must be available for full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between July to December 2025

Requirements:
• Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Psychology, Advertising, Communications, Social Science, or Statistics related majors are preferred. Other Research related fields are also welcome
• Highly self-motivated, meticulous, and very comfortable with numbers
• Ability to adapt quickly to a constantly evolving organizations, and to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
• Strong team player; possesses good interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm in collaborating in cross functional teams
• Passionate team player with a never-ending curiosity
• Highly motivated self-starter that needs minimal supervision in motivating themselves, always looking for opportunities to contribute to insights projects.
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations
• Strategic thinker with good communications skills and attention to detail
• Creative mindset with the ability to leverage on data to develop strategy/decisions
• Proficient in MS Office particularly in Excel and Powerpoint.
• Interest in the Entertainment industry; whether that be movies, TV shows or the streaming landscape
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
