As a Public Relations Intern, you will assist the Detroit Pistons PR team with day-to-day operations and game night responsibilities at Detroit Pistons home games. The internship runs from September 13 through the duration of the 2021-22 NBA season. Our internship program is designed to provide interns with hands-on skills and experiences that can be readily applied to future challenges and professional pursuits.

What you'll be doing
• Responsible for writing and editing Pistons game notes.
• Assist with game-day operations.
• Help produce departmental publications (preseason guide, media guide, playoff guide and Pistons yearbook).
• Coordinate the media work room and media seating.
• Support in-game PR efforts and post-game duties as assigned.
• Distribute media credentials and other pertinent documents.
• Provide up-to-date statistics and information to media in attendance.
• Transcribe coach and player quotes from pre/post-game interviews.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for
• Must be available for all Detroit Pistons home games and able to commit to the entire 2021-22 Pistons season.
• Must possess outstanding writing/communication skills.
• Knowledge, use and understanding of social media practices.
• Demonstrate proficient computer skills, including but not limited to, MS Word, Excel, Outlook and InDesign.
• Ability to meet deadlines in short, high-pressure situations.
• Hard-working, self-improvers who are hungry, proactive, and have a positive attitude.
• Interns must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Has reliable transportation to and from Little Caesars Arena as necessary.
• Able to provide their own housing throughout the duration of the internship.
