Job Description

Delirio Films is a boutique film and commercial production company with a focus on prestige documentaries, including both features and series. Over 10 years, Delirio has built a library of films that embody a unique combination of artistic integrity and commercial viability. Deliro’s film titles include Alma Har’el’s Love True and Bombay Beach, Magnolia Films’ No Place On Earth, Netflix’s first original film, The Short Game, and Sundance Audience Award-winner The Green Prince. In 2017, Delirio produced SXSW Audience Award-winner Becoming Bond and Too Funny To Fail, which marked Hulu’s launch into original documentaries. In 2018, Delirio produced the docuseries Hunting ISIS for The History Channel. Recently, Delirio premiered documentaries Mike Wallace Is Here and Hulu’s Ask Dr. Ruth at Sundance, alongside their first scripted feature Honey Boy, which was picked up by Amazon. Honey Boy, starring and written by Shia LaBeouf, won a DGA Award for director Alma Har’el. Delirio’s latest releases were They Call Me Magic, a 4 part documentary series which premiered on Apple TV+ and Reggie, an Amazon original documentary about baseball great Reggie Jackson. Most recently, Delirio premiered Will & Harper at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, portraying an intimate road trip Will Ferrell takes with his close friend of 30 years who transitioned to a woman. The Film has since been acquired by Netflix and will be released this fall.


THE JOB

Delirio is looking for motivated interns with strong communication skills, superb attention to detail, and a positive attitude. Interns will gain a hands-on understanding of the documentary filmmaking process by collaborating with team members working on all stages of production, from development to post-production.

Typical tasks include:

  • Research for new documentaries;
  • Editing and logging footage for post-production;
  • Assisting on set, including handling production equipment;
  • Reviewing narrative submissions and writing script analysis; and
  • Occasional administrative support and runs for supplies and equipment.


More details:

  • Prerequisites: None. A major related to film, production, and/or entertainment and an interest in documentary content are preferred.
  • Location: Delirio typically requires interns to work out of our office in Studio City, in Los Angeles. We are currently working with a hybrid remote/in-person schedule.
  • Schedule: 2 to 4 days per week, typically 10:00am to 6pm; starting the end of August/beginning of September through the end of December (these dates are flexible).
  • Car: Preferred but not necessary; mileage will be reimbursed.
  • College Credit: Required.
