The Job

The DC Comics Editorial team is looking for a Summer Intern who will be responsible for assisting editors with development and production of DC Comics, licensed comics, digital comics, custom projects, and collected editions.

The Daily
• Prepares scripts for letterers and creates lettering balloon placement guide
• Interacts with freelancers and various departments to ensure that the projects are moving as scheduled
• Provides administrative and clerical support to Editors (answering questions and monitoring deadlines)
• Performs other related duties as assigned

The Essentials
• Previous experience in an office or library preferred
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop, Acrobat skills
• Familiarity with comic books and comic book history strongly preferred
• Knowledge of DC characters a plus
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints, meet deadlines and contribute to multiple projects while paying close attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and writing skills required
• Strong interpersonal skills and self-starter

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program
