Job Description
The CNN Strategy & Business Operations team is responsible for establishing growth strategies across CNN's digital properties through on-platform product-focused partnerships and off-platform distribution that seek to drive revenue and user engagement. We work cross-functionally across the entire digital business, partnering closely with editorial, off-platform programming, video, product, ad sales, and legal stakeholders. The Business Strategy Intern will support the team on new initiatives and partnership management. They will also dive into and deliver a growth strategy project to senior CNN Digital leadership.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Ideate, execute and present a digital growth strategy project to senior leadership
• Provide strategic analysis and support for verticals across CNN Digital (e.g., CNN Politics, CNN Business, CNN Originals, CNN International, CNN Health, CNN Travel, CNN Climate)
• Support partner relationship management and optimization of existing business partnerships
• Provide thought partnership and advisory support for senior leaders across CNN (including video programming, product, revenue insights, and off-platform programming), with a focus on distributing CNN content to strategic endpoints that align with CNN's long-term strategic priorities.

Qualifications & Experience
• Business development, strategy, management consulting, or investment banking experience.
• Ability to think strategically and to translate ideas into action
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to facilitate and communicate cross-functionally to ensure consistent development and execution of strategies.
• Creative problem solver who can proactively identify problems, pull together data and people to identify causes, and develop solutions.
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized and self-directed; able to keep on an assigned track with minimal direction
• Strong presentation development skills (design and verbal)
• Knowledge of basic research methods and strategies is preferred.
• Must be actively enrolled in a US-accredited college or university MBA degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
• Must be a 1st year MBA student
• Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above cumulative GPA)
• All 2025 MBA interns will be selected from the attendees of the in-person (held in Burbank, CA) OR Virtual MBA Trek. All eligible applicants must attend the trek.
• Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. Candidates currently on any student or exchange visa, including F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1, etc., will not be eligible for the internship program.

• The duration of the program is 10-12 weeks depending on the student's availability

Program dates
• Option #1: 6/2/2025- 8/15/2025
• Option #2: 6/9/2025- 8/22/2025
• Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.
• Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.
• The recruiting process will take place from November through February. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $45 per hour USD for MBA Interns.
