CNN London Digital Video Internship (March 2025)
The digital video intern will assist producers, editors and supervisors across the full gamut of video production, from research and pitching right through to post production and all stages in between.
We're looking for curious, versatile, enthusiastic, and proactive candidates with an interest in both news and features content, long and short-form digital video for both the website and social platforms, with a mixture of technical and editorial skills.
The Digital Video team is split into two groups, with one side focusing on content that reacts to the daily news agenda and the other on longer lead projects and series. This internship position will spend time with both units, creating an opportunity to learn a wide range of skills over the course of the program.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Demonstrate both an ability to work under & the pressure of news deadlines
• Thoughtfulness and creativity required for longer-lead features projects.
• Assist with the following: research, pitching and attending brainstorms, assist producers, editors and shooters at base and in the field, explore sound design and editing in Adobe Premiere.
Qualifications & Experience…
• Undergraduate or postgraduate journalism degree (not essential), vocational training and/or ability to illustrate a portfolio of work, including evidence of interest in visual storytelling (eg: blogs, podcasts, social accounts, YouTube Channel etc)
• Working in team environments, ideally to strict deadlines
• Ability to work quickly, managing time and multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Have a passion for international news
• Be proactive and ready to throw themselves in to any task
• Some video editing / Adobe software experience would be beneficial
The Internship...
• Salary: £28,000 p/a (pro-rata)
• Contract Length: 6 months
• Start Date: Likely to be 3rd March 2025
• You will gain hands-on experience working on business-critical projects.

• Stage 2: For eligible candidates, you will be invited to complete a written questionnaire in HireVue. The deadline for this is Sunday 5th January.
• Stage 3: Interviews will take place in January & February.

Onsite Working - This role is advertised as Onsite, meaning all working hours and days (regardless of shift pattern) will be carried out at the place of work.
