Job Description
CBS News Intern, WBBM Chicago (Summer 2025)

The CBS Chicago is an award-winning news operation across broadcast, streaming, digital and social platforms. We inform and educate the community by reporting important news and information across all of the Chicago area.

Responsibilities:
• Assisting with all elements of newscast/streaming production including logging, researching stories, selecting video.
• Assisting producers, news writers, assignment editors and reporters
• Perform light clerical and assist producers and talent
• Writing copy for digital and broadcast
• Performing duties as assigned by assignment editors including beat calls, data research, and fact gathering.
• Learn fundamental news-gathering and iNews formatting skills

Work Schedule: 100% in person, Mon-Fri 9am-6pm with flexiblity to work early morning/late nights as needed.

Eligibility:
• Internships are available to students who will be Juniors, Seniors, or Master's students in the fall of 2025. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
• You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
• Internship format will be 100% in person.
• Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
• Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.
