Artist Development (Marketing) K-Pop
How you'll CREATE:
In our marketing department we oversee many genres, but one of the most ground-breaking genres is K-Pop - where we hope to have our intern specialize. This project will help all K-Pop artists across the Universal labels!
We would like to have an intern work closely with us on the K-Pop Projects. Learning and digging into the marketing and sales side of things. Ideally, we would work with our intern to help build a database of the indie Mom & Pop K-Pop stores nationwide who we currently don't distribute to and create unique partnerships with these contacts. Through this the intern will learn everything about the world of K-Pop and be an integral role in breaking the paradigm and sales goals for future releases. In this role there will be a lot of research and will also very creative, fun and an exciting experience.

Artist/Label Partnerships
How you'll CREATE:
Virgin Music is an artist-development focused, full label services and distribution company, providing commercial, radio promotion, marketing, synch/branding/licensing and digital marketing services. Our mission is to build and reach the largest possible audience for our developing and established artists and label partners, respectively.
• Supporting marketing associates and client managers with day-to-day needs
• Pull necessary Soundscan, Mediabase and others for distribution
• Perform critical global and regional streaming analysis for priority client projects
• Create and manage artist one sheets, press and other associated promotional materials
• Attend and participate in meetings and brainstorming sessions
• Conduct vital artist research, including social network analysis, music platform analysis, touring history analysis, and online properties analysis
• Participate in marketing meetings, mapping out artists' creative and social media campaigns

Marketing
How you'll CREATE:
The Virgin Music Marketing team of marketing/product management specialists are responsible for implementing a shared goal: amplifying our partners' visions. This is achieved by collaboration, communication then creation and execution of the marketing plan. Full transparency and collaboration with partners at every step is an essential component. This process to bring a product to market includes strategizing with each department, gathering and analysis of key data, then employing a wealth of analytical tools to aid in building a detailed plan, covering every facet of modern marketing.
Working closely with the Central Marketing team, as well as collaborating with Virgin Music's current community management team, you will help build and extend Virgin Music's social media reach (and in turn our roster of artists) by first auditing the performance of current Virgin Music US profiles on platforms, as well as those of competitors. Targets should include platforms like INSTAGRAM, TIKTOK, DISCORD, BEREAL, etc. as well as identifying potential influencers and super fans of Virgin and our roster of artists that could be in turn activated to help support future marketing efforts. Upon identifying KPIs and best practices, you will then collate these findings into recommendations into best practices/playbooks which can both reinforce the value of existing strategies as well as share new ones that have yet to be adopted. Additionally, you will be tasked with extending then implementing these new strategies and reporting on the results of your efforts.
