Amazon Studios' Content and Programming team for IMDb TV is shaping the future of digital video entertainment. Our mission is to build earth's most customer-centric premium ad-supported video service, free and convenient for hundreds of millions of customers to enjoy. Amazon Studios is looking for a candidate who can build on our early success and help define our future.

IMDb TV's Consumer Insights and Creative teams intersect with a variety of departments and teams. As such, you as an intern will work across the entire Content & Programming team which includes creative and development, licensing, strategy, program management, and research. The role will also have exposure to marketing, PR, production, post-production, business affairs, legal, finance, and ad sales/ad marketing. You will learn how critical each team is in the process of seeing a show's journey from pitch to production and beyond. Given how IMDb TV sits across the Amazon Studios and IMDb TV Business teams, this role will gain exposure to different structuring and understanding of how teams work cross-functionally.

Key job responsibilities
Produce a weekly report tracking industry trends inclusive of current projects in development and existing series coupled with popularity data compiled from internal and syndicated data sources.

Review incoming submissions/material and weigh in on what is worth pursuing from an IMDb TV Content & Programming perspective given our strategy and customers as well as providing their perspective on the overall quality and honing their personal taste. In some cases, the intern will do script coverage (analysis, impressions, and grading in a more formal fashion). Ongoing project throughout internship.

Provide data-backed recommendations of potential subjects, areas, and talent primed for development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be a current student seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree
• One previous internship in the entertainment industry
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in Tableau
• Capacity to think and write analytically and a passion for the TV/Movie/entertainment business.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with social listening tools and data sources such as YouGov polling, GFK/MRI, Helixa, Statista, and E-Poll/E-Score.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detailed planning, time management and organizational skills.
• Skilled at producing visually appealing charts and graphs.
