Summer Intern, Employee Engagement
Job Summary:
AEG Internship Program offers a real-world experience that allows college students to learn the business of sports and live entertainment. In the Employee Engagement Department, interns have a unique opportunity to work alongside a team that builds and maintains Corporate Culture and Employee Engagement through events and internal communication. Within the department, you will spend approximately 2.5 weeks with each of our roles (Internal Communication Manager, Employee Engagement Manager, Employee Engagement Events Specialist, and Employee Engagement Coordinator) to better understand what we do as a team. This spring internship will place a particular emphasis on internal communications.
Responsibilities:
• Own a number of internal communication projects, including overseeing reoccurring weekly features on our company intranet, as well as creating original content.
• Assist internal comms manager with the execution of comms plans for Spring heritage months.
• Support event logistics (pulling RSVP lists, setting up and breakdown of events, booking conference rooms, etc.) for virtual and in-person events.
• Assist with curating and posting company content for employees using SharePoint and AEG Backstage (company intranet)
• Perform a company intranet audit to ensure all pages are up to date.
• Assist Employee Engagement Events Specialist with various tasks related to the AEG Summer Picnic.
• Help Employee Engagement team members (Internal Communication Manager, Manager of Employee Engagement, Employee Engagement Events Specialist, and Employee Engagement Coordinator) on a variety of projects as they come up. Be a true utility player.
• The AEG Internship Program requires a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week during the spring.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field
• Passion for sports and live entertainment
• Highly organized, resourceful, and dependable with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in Microsoft Office – EXCEL, WORD, and PowerPoint, specifically
• Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
