About the Role & Program
Join the committed team of The View! A priority destination for our guests and must-see viewing for our loyal fans with up-to-the-minute Hot Topics and invaluable conversations with live broadcasts five days a week featuring Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro.
An internship at ''The View'' provides a multi-layered understanding of all aspects necessary for the production of a live television show. Grounded in a hand-on approach, interns play a vital role in all aspects of operation and production.
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through early January 2026.
What You Will Do
• Observe the control room, studio floor & editing of promos and tape pieces.
• Assist/shadow segment producers during preparation, rehearsal and execution of segments.
• Work alongside the media coordinators, production assistants, and research departments.
• Aid digital department in leading accounts across social media platforms.
• Participate in daily production meetings with executives.
• Assist with the coordination and distribution of audience giveaways.
• Perform miscellaneous production and administrative tasks and runs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Familiarity with and/or interest in production
• Experience using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects
• Experience working in collaborative environments, and researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience (academic or internship) in journalism (print and/or broadcast); television production, news and news media production; and/or television news script writing
• Previous knowledge of ABC News Programming
• Interest in news, current events and pop culture
Education
• Major or previous coursework in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Film/Television or a related field
• Junior or Senior year preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through early January 2026
• Fully available to work 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 8am-4pm, 4 days a week
• During weeks that the show is dark you will have the opportunity to work in other areas
• Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.00 per hour.
