Associate Director, Global Learning Solutions (Hybird/East Coast)

Penguin Random House, the leading publishing house in the US, is excited to hire for an Associate Director on our Global Talent Management & Development (GTM&D) Team in a role that will work on delivering best-in-class global learning solutions to our employees and businesses. Sitting at the company's core, the GTM&D team collaborates with all areas of the business, operating at a variety of speeds, depending on the project and audience, and so an ability to adapt your style will be sure to set you up for success. The team consults in close partnership with our country HR teams, employees, and leaders worldwide to drive the PRH global talent strategy at a local and global level, including with our parent company, Bertelsmann, headquartered in Germany.

In this role, you'll report directly into the VP, Global Talent Management and Development, and will also work closely with the wider team to accelerate our development efforts globally. We anticipate that for the first 3 months you'll spend your time asking questions, listening and building relationships across the company, and learning how we operate, across the amazing mix of imprints, departments, divisions and corporate teams so that you'll be well situated to support the business for the remainder of the year and beyond.

This position is hybrid and will require occasional in-office presence at our offices located at 1745 Broadway, New York. This includes, but is not limited to, attending meetings, onsite programming, project team collaborations, and team development sessions, all of which the role holder should be able to accommodate.

Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Driving global learning priorities and initiatives in alignment with PRH's global talent strategy.
• Fostering global collaboration and alignment within the PRH learning and talent community, identifying opportunities for collaboration and best practice sharing.
• Collaborating with global PRH and Bertelsmann colleagues to proactively identify new and emerging skills and capabilities essential for our business and facilitating the development of local and global upskilling/reskilling solutions in a coordinated way.
• Serving as the go-to Subject Matter Expert (SME) on PRH's 'Growth and Development' methodology, collaborating closely with global HR and talent colleagues and leadership to optimize processes and tools over time.
• Supporting the professional development of the global editorial community and taking a leading role in projects dedicated to global editorial development. This involves close collaboration with territory learning leads and publishing subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Supporting the Director of US Learning Solutions to address learning and development needs in the US, providing on-the-ground solutions to employees, teams, and divisions.

What we are looking for you to bring:
• Demonstrated experience in –
• Learning and development, talent development, talent management, organizational development, or a related field.
• Designing impactful and meaningful learning solutions that are business-aligned by starting with 'why' - asking the right questions, scoping, building, and delivering in a timely manner.
• Managing a diverse and global community of stakeholders, building strong relationships, and using well developed communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with global teams.
• Operating and delivering solutions in a Matrix organization
• Exceptional skills and/or knowledge in -
• Program design, coaching, and facilitation.
• Project management and organization with the ability to manage multiple projects at different stages at the same time
• Performance management approaches and methodology.
• Ability to –
• Straddle both global and local perspectives and take into consideration the different needs of the business when developing solutions, ensuring that the right voices are heard and considered.
• Multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Operate in a fast-paced, global environment with strong cultural sensitivity.
• Navigate and adapt effectively to changing priorities.
• Apply current psychology and learning theory into learning solutions.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
