Job Description
• Acquire 3rd party content including photos and footage for use in NBCUniversal News Group properties. Programs include: Today, Nightly News, Dateline, Morning Joe, Squawk Box, Noticiero, etc.
• Review and negotiate license agreements with 3rd party entities: including Sports, UGC providers, professional photographers as well as other News outlets.
• Evaluate the status of acquired rights and potential restrictions in NBCUniversal News Group programming to ensure the ability to repurpose on ancillary platforms.
• Act as a liaison between production, legal, finance and archives for all rights and clearances matters.
• Vet content and flag potential clearance issues with management and legal prior to broadcast.
• Update and manage internal database to indicate copyright source, contracts and license agreements.
• Participate in educational workshops for client groups.
• Build and foster good working relationships within the NBCUniversal News Group family.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite products – particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• At least one year experience in the television/entertainment field
• Thorough understanding of copyright law and license agreements
• Must be willing to work overtime, mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends, often with short notice

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
