Job Description

Role Purpose

The Corporate Social Responsibility team drives NBCU's social purpose of creating equity and access in society, our industry, and within our own company. We support this mission through philanthropic giving, volunteerism, storytelling, and empowering the next generation of content creators from diverse backgrounds. ​

The Manager of Partnerships & Engagement will help to power our social impact efforts. Key projects will include project management of our largest annual volunteer initiatives, day-to-day management of select nonprofit partners, and planning volunteer projects locally in New York and virtually. The Manager will join senior leadership in ideating and executing impactful grant & partnership strategy, mentorship programs, and other social impact initiatives. The Manager will contribute to our results-driven work through collecting & analyzing impact data and demonstrating impact through recap decks and presentations.

Job Duties
• Project manage company-wide service initiatives, including leading volunteer events, providing consulting & support to other teams, and rolling out guidelines & deliverables to domestic & international stakeholders to ensure volunteering occurs across all major hubs. Curate and design event curriculum & activities, oversee logistics, and lead event staff
• Collect and analyze participation data, impact metrics, and feedback to inform and build employee engagement and volunteer strategy. Demonstrate ROI and impact of programs through surveys and post-event recap presentations.
• Build & manage relationships with nonprofit organizations, industry leaders, and prospective partners
• Collaborate with CSR Marketing team to attract & recruit volunteers, as well as tell meaningful impact stories about volunteer programs and nonprofit collaborations
• Partner with CSR-adjacent functions across NBCU's offices and internal stakeholders like Creative, Legal, Finance, and NBCU's various business units to execute volunteer programming that is in line with company priorities and overall compliance
• Research, ideate and contribute to overall partnership strategy and innovative mentorship and volunteer programs designed to meet employee engagement & social impact goals

Qualifications

Basic Requirements
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience in corporate social responsibility, diversity equity & inclusion, human resources, event and program management, or related fields
• Experience planning or facilitating in-person and/or virtual events in a professional setting
• Passion for corporate social responsibility, community engagement, and making positive social impact
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Proficient in the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) or equivalent systems

Desired Characteristics
• Relationship manager - Experience managing ongoing relationships with vendors or external client groups. Adept at building credibility and rapport with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across business disciplines, sectors, and cultures
• Socially minded - Experience working with or volunteering with a nonprofit organization
• Project and process-minded – Able to juggle multiple tasks with multiple deliverables. Takes initiative and prioritizes efficiency
• Strong communication – Able to communicate with stakeholders from student to executive, influence groups to participate in volunteer programs, and demonstrate ROI of key programs
• Strong presenter - Experience creating and presenting data-driven, results-oriented presentations
• Innovative – Able to build upon existing programming, bring fresh ideas, and suggest new approaches.

• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

Salary Details
Salary Range: $75,000 to $90,000 Per Year ($ USD)
