Job Description

The NBCU Local Division consists of 43 local NBC and TLMD stations and 6 Regional Sports Networks. Reporting to the VP of Ad Sales Finance, this position will play a critical role supporting $2B of advertising sales. The Director will partner with NBCU Local Sales & Finance Leadership, Operations, Sales Business Development & Strategy, Controllership and NBCU Network Ad Sales Finance. In addition to leading financial planning and analysis for the division, this role provides unique financial oversight of NBCU's leading ad tech OTT/CTV solution, NBC Spot On. Gain in-depth knowledge of the NBCU Local commercial operations as well as lead all aspects of management reporting and revenue accounting.

Responsibilities
• Own all aspects of the financial planning cycles for NBCU Local Ad Sales including pacing, quarterly estimates, budget, and long-range plan with close partnership with the Local and Network finance teams.
• Responsible for revenue recognition monthly close and quarter end management reporting.
• Oversee entertainment / sports bid model analysis and post-mortem network requests.
• Manage executive sales reporting for all tentpole events (Olympics, World Cup, SNF, etc) and political cycles.
• Develop subject matter expertise for all sales reporting tools including Wide Orbit, Operative/Hubble and liaise with Operations to ensure reporting compliance.
• Oversee general ledger sales reporting and coding in accordance with GAP Accounting / business initiative.
• Lead, develop and mentor two direct reports.
• Foster collaboration and streamline processes to aggregate sales data across the country to support insights for financial cycles.
• Lead and execute on special projects and ongoing ad hoc analyses as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in accounting and/or Finance related fields
• Minimum 3+ years of experience within the Media or Entertainment industry
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize and encapsulate complex data and information to build financial models and presentations to senior leadership
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY

Desired characteristics:
• Prior Ad Sales experience
• Prior management experience is a plus
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Analytical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills – ability to present and communicate ideas and thoughts to all levels of the organization from senior management to entry-level staff
• Accuracy and attention to detail and deadlines
• Prior experience with Business Intelligence and Tableau a plus
• Proven organization skills and proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work well under pressure
