What We Do

The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.

What You'll Do

You are a QA expert and developer who thrives and excels at delivering results at-scale. Your vision and hands-on approach will continually maintain a high-quality, ''testable software'' mentality at Epic Games. We are looking for teammates who are passionate about upstream technical testing while developing tools, automation, and capacity programming to raise the quality bar while advancing your technical capabilities and knowledge.

In this role, you will
• Work with QA Programmers, QA leadership, SDETs, product owners, and developers to define acceptance criteria, identify risks, plan test coverage, and execute against your plans
• Examine gaps in test plan and approach, collaborating with geographically distributed teams to deliver the highest quality version of the Platform Services, and its associated products, as possible
• Build and drive test strategies and test plans to cover multiple features in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Use a mix of technical and manual QA skills to execute a variety of testing techniques across your product. Analyze the quality of said product while troubleshooting reported defects and internal issues
• Test features and integrations across the Epic Game Launcher, mobile platforms, and distribution services

What we're looking for
• 3+ years of professional QA experience in a software or game-testing environment
• Experience testing software - specifically, backend RESTful Services
• Experience working beyond the presentation layer, debugging Service-to-Service interactions
• Worked with AWS Services (or any other web hosting service provider) and interactions between our services and hosted services
• Strong technical understanding of how services are utilized by clients and the common flow of data through backend systems
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders within a team (production, design, dev)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently collaborate with your immediate and partner teams
• Strong attention to detail.

This role is open to multiple locations in North America (excluding CA, NY, & WA).
