Overview and Responsibilities

CBS Studios is one of the industry's leading suppliers of programming with more than 70 series currently in production across broadcast and cable networks, streaming services, and other emerging platforms.

We are looking for a diligent Production Finance Associate to enhance our robust CBS Studios Accounting team! We are seeking hard-working, motivated, conscientious professional who exhibits strong accounting skills. You will be a part of a dynamic and creative Production Finance team working directly with our production business units in the planning, financial administration and production of first-class television programming. The Analyst will also be coordinating day to day operational function of production accounting, performing various account reconciliations, analyzing bank financial statements and reports and assisting with monthly & quarterly close processes.

Responsibilities Include:
• Bank reconciliation distribution and research and resolution of corporate interface issues
• Production funding reviews and approvals for third party in-house
• Assist Accounting teams with coding for Studio inter-co and inter-season show journals including guidance on master coding and coding differences between Studios and Network shows.
• Monthly Aetna review of participants with show accounting team
• Insurance portfolio preliminary email to Risk and preparation, sign off and distribution of portfolio declaration when budget is locked or in first week of shooting
• Coordinate quarterly reporting working with production accounting for lease agreements
• Support Pre-Production and Wrap turnover, review and management of support
• Work with Production accounting teams to facilitate Year end 1099 reporting, Diversity Supplier, EDD reporting
• Manage and process publicity payments, process and payroll allocations for publicity union publicists
• Manage payroll allocations and all-shows, supporting pre-production accountant
• Review and distribute Forecast Delivery Grid functionality into SAP/S4
• Location accounting system to S4/SAP upload and download reconciliation, performed monthly
• Miscellaneous ad-hoc analysis projects as needed

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 2+ years Production Finance or Production Accounting work experience required

Additional Qualifications:
• Proficient skills in Excel (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Demonstrated attention to detail, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge/experience working with production accounting software (Classic Vista, Global Vista, and Smart Accounting Vista helpful.
• Self-motivated, self-starter, great teammate
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $62,500.00 - 72,500.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
