Job Description

Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver on our performance goals for our assigned policy area. You will help to implement and enforce our policies across many videos. This includes finding the right balance between removing content that violates our community guidelines and retaining approved content.
You will define the operational plan and implement it globally, working with stakeholders, Engineering, Vendor Operations, Analytics, Policy, and Legal teams. You will ensure that our operations are as automated as possible while maintaining and improving quality and acting as the escalation point to the vendor team in complex cases. You will also review graphic, controversial, and offensive video content in line with YouTube's Community Guidelines.

Resonsibilities:
• Support Detection teams in engineering and product, providing expert calibrations on policy verdicts.
• Manage escalations and calibrations for the policy function and ensure that all incidents are triaged, tracked, investigated, resolved, and communicated accurately.
• Oversee policy understanding for the function, including leading quality of scaled enforcement, by effectively managing the feedback loop with vendor teams from documentation to consistent communication back to vendor teams.
• Review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive video content in line with YouTube's Community Guidelines.
• Research and stay up-to-date on trends in policy abuse and relevant events across local markets, working with other teams to integrate our intelligence intake and driving our enforcement response in emerging areas.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in operations, such as scaled or sales operations, vendor management, or process/organizational development.
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in content policy, anti-abuse, and online content review.
• Experience with SQL and spreadsheets software.
• Experience in analytics, including using data to drive strategy and business action.
• Ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies.
• Excellent business judgment, influencing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work non-standard hours and be on-call on weekends on a rotational basis.
