Communications Senior Associate, YouTube (English, French)

As a Communications Senior Associate, you'll show your interest in the media and social networks, and utilize your PR/social experience to communicate about YouTube effectively. You will manage numerous projects at once. You will also prepare presentations and written materials that communicate key messages, cultivate relationships with media outlets, and coordinate with colleagues across the globe.

We help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. You are quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across PR, Communications, Marketing, Product, and beyond.

Resonsibilities:
• Promote our latest B2C product innovations and partnerships. Manage 360° communication projects including media relations, event planning and agency coordination.
• Manage YouTube day-to-day relationships with the B2C/ consumer media landscape in France, and engage with influencers and align communications with product, marketing and YouTube partnership teams..
• Localize global and regional initiatives, while developing tailored YouTube campaigns and approaches to key topics in France. Devise and execute creative PR campaigns to drive awareness, usage and excitement around YouTube's products.
• Draft narratives, press releases, blog posts, pitches, FAQs, etc. Brief spokespeople and staff interviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Partnerships, Product, Marketing, and Leadership teams to influence and execute strategic plans and launches.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications:
• Experience in media relations or communications in a consumer, business, government, or non-profit environment.
• Ability to speak and write in English and French fluently.

Preferred qualifications:
• Experience in B2C/ consumer communications, and in the Social Media sector.
• Understanding of the YouTube/ entertainment ecosystem (e.g., product, creators, music artists, advertisers etc.).
• Ability to think strategically, learn quickly, and work under pressure, with a demonstrated team approach to work.
• Ability to promote new ideas in exciting but practical ways and produce graphical materials, with a creative imagination.
• Good attention to detail and a well organized, structured approach to work.
