Job Summary/Description:

WTVG 13abc is seeking a creative Producer to assist in bringing local news to Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan both on air and online. This position is a combination of show producing and digital. It is the perfect position for someone who enjoys variety and who is looking to master news production from every angle. The show producer is responsible for building, writing, and overseeing their respective show for broadcast. The Digital News Producer, meanwhile, is responsible for posting stories on 13abc.com and 13abc social media platforms, and for assisting in the development, planning, and execution of digital strategies designed to increase page views and engagement, under the supervision of the Digital Content Manager.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and organize ''Nowcasts'' with urgent writing and showcasing that includes informative graphics, must see video and cool studio shots.
* Work closely with news managers and assignment editors to determine content needs
* Responsible for oversight of live broadcast and up to the minute editorial decisions
* Updating the station's website and social media with news stories throughout the day.
* Maintaining a high quality of content with accurate, error-free reporting.
* Working with Digital Content Manager and other Digital Content Producers to craft and maintain a station voice across platforms.
* Assisting with the creation and implementation of digital strategies and projects which may span multiple weeks or months.
* Creation of digital assets including video, photo galleries, live video streams, and other multimedia to enhance stories.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Ability to utilize multimedia digital assets to maximize how news is covered and distributed
* A passion for production and storytelling, combined with an unwavering commitment to journalistic ethics and standards
* A community-minded spirit and vision to expand the stations' outreach through coverage of impactful events to the greater region we serve.
