Job Summary/Description:

WTOK-TV is seeking a Sales Assistant that will support our sales staff in the day-to-day operation of selling WTOK, CW, myTOK, and Circle networks, plus digital advertising products to local direct and agency clients. The Sales Assistant workflow includes order and traffic entry, sales presentations, and any other tasks designed to advance your media sales career.
Our Sales Assistant needs to love computers, pay attention to detail, and possess a strong work ethic with a positive attitude. If you are a true team player who puts others above self and enjoys a fast-paced environment, then this job is for you.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Compile available commercial inventory for potential sales clients to discern spot availability
• Enter national and regional broadcast sales orders into the Wide Orbit computer software
• Enter digital sales orders into Wide Orbit and complete digital order forms
• Coordinate and enter make goods when commercials do not run as scheduled
• Secure and input traffic instructions for advertisers across multiple channels or playlists as
needed
• Assist staff with daily traffic daily logs and fill with Promos/PSAs
• Accurate and timely complete paperwork and maintain continual communication with clients,
managers and co-workers, and Gray Traffic Hub

• Learn and understand required software and systems, strong computer knowledge preferred

• Prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Problem-solving ability (identify problems, suggest improvements/solutions. Look at processes through a new eye to streamline or make things better)
• Save money by minimizing errors
• Proficiency in Google Analytics
• Microsoft Office knowledge (excel and PowerPoint specific)
