Promotions Producer

Job Description

• WOOD TV8 in Grand Rapids Michigan is looking for a rockstar Promotions Producer! We've got lots of exciting projects for 2022 and looking for a Promotions Producer who is highly motivated, creative and has a passion for news promotion. This position will be responsible for producing effective on-air promotional spots, daily topicals, special projects, and campaigns. The Promotions Producer should be a talented videographer bubbling with creativity, an excellent writer and highly skilled editing in the Adobe Suite.
• Work closely with Creative Services Director and Promotions Manager to create on-brand station image promos, proof of brand spots, daily topicals and other video projects as assigned
• Write, produce, light, shoot, edit promos, and finish off high-end motion graphics
• Work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and ensure that all assigned projects are delivered on-time
• Push the creative envelope to new heights while adhering to the brand guidelines
• Produce client sponsored promotional content as assigned
• Be organized and have good project management skills
• Perform other duties as assigned

Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Proficiency in television production and high-end post production
• Ability to write, produce, shoot, edit, and create high-end motion graphics
• Proficient in computer software application (ex: Adobe Suite, Premiere, Microsoft, wide orbit a plus)
• Possess strong video production skills utilizing new and changing technology and equipment
• Working knowledge of lighting equipment and audio gear
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact with all departments
• Good writing skills and understanding of how to create messages that drive tune-in
• Must be able to provide a reel of work examples- please include with your resume for consideration
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Well organized, professional and high energy

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferred with at least one year of related production experience
• Training/Equipment: Computer with editing, and motion graphic software, Videography & editing skills
• Work Environment/Physical Requirements: High stress environment with deadline pressures. Must be able to lift equipment such as cameras, tripods, lights, etc.
