Job Description
WMOR-TV in Tampa, Florida is now interviewing candidates for a National Sales Assistant. Excellent telephone, verbal communication and problem solving skills required. Applicant must show enthusiasm, work initiative, possess strong organizational and computer skills, including MS Office. Accuracy and ability to interact with clients and rep firm in a professional manner is essential. Learning database and industry software is required. Job Responsibilities:
• Assist National Sales Manager in day-to-day duties.
• Entering and maintaining all national orders including electronic transfer and maintenance of all MediaLine/WOCentral orders to WideOrbit.
• Account management assistance; provide daily pre-emption reports.
• Daily management of pre-empted and displaced spots; problem solving with NSM and national sales reps.
• Assist in the development of sales proposals, advertising packages and client presentations.
• Keep progress tabs on various sales initiatives.
• Communication with Hearst traffic department regarding order entry, spot placement and formatting.
• Fulfill customer service requests such as log times, weekly posting analysis, etc.
• Coordinates Paid program sales.
• Research discrepancies and complete credit memos as required.
• Maintains national political orders and files.
• Maintain organized filing systems.
• Interact with co-workers, clients and public in a professional manner, both on the phone and in person.
• Fill in as needed at the receptionist/switchboard desk.
• Back-up to local continuity coordinator for missing copy.

Qualifications Requirements:
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment, manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Be an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys performing as part of a team.
• Must take pride in work, respond to instruction well, enjoy working independently and perform at a consistently high-level.
• Consistently meet deadlines in a challenging and dynamic environment.
• Maintain a positive attitude and deal with the daily stresses and pressures associated with commercial television sales.
• Capable of learning new systems promptly and thoroughly.
• Must be highly-focused, organized, and detail oriented.
• Software proficiency: Microsoft Office and Excel, WideOrbit, and MediaLine.

Experience
• Previous broadcast television sales assistant experience a plus.
