Job Description

WGFL and WPEC have an exciting opening for a Monday through Friday anchor for Gainesville's WGFL newscasts. This position anchors newscasts from beautiful West Palm Beach, Florida for WGFL's 6 and 11 PM newscasts and contributes content to WPEC and WGFL on all platforms.

In addition to being an outstanding journalist with an engaging, dynamic delivery, you need to be a team player. Our anchors are leaders who participate in the planning of our shows and produce content regularly. A competitive passion to win and openness to innovation is needed. Our winning candidate will be someone who embraces social media and knows how to consistently engage with the audience. We are a content first operation and everyone is part of the digital team. The anchor will be expected to create content for on air and our websites, and distribute it on social media. You also will be expected to help drive web traffic through your social media channels. Collaboration is a big part of this role. We want a person energized to coach and mentor first-time MMJ's, helping to improve their storytelling and on-air presence.
