JOB OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Executive Director, Sales Planning & Administration, the Technical Operations Specialist will coordinate the day-to-day activities and long-term planning of delivery of all broadcast materials necessary to service free, cable, pay, subscription video-on-demand and broadband television clients in English & French Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Broadcast Material Servicing (Warner Bros., TNT, TBS and HBOMax):
• Plan and execute servicing of all broadcast materials via satellite, tape, and digital file delivery to various broadcasters across Canada for current and upcoming broadcast season
• Ensure that all primetime broadcast materials arrive on schedule to meet the client's programming slate which includes problem-solving and managing any crisis' that may occur if the asset is delayed from production or needs to be redelivered
• Available and reachable for occasional after-hours emergencies due to last-minute schedule changes, satellite feed delays and production delays that can occur on weekends (for series airing on Sundays)
• Coordinate communications with Canadian broadcasters' programming, operations and traffic departments
• Assist broadcasters by providing supplemental materials such as format sheets, captioning files, scripts, music cue sheets and Descriptive Audio
• Obtain permission for various client requests such as pre-releases and French title translations
• Research costs and availability of HD, SD, UHD & 4K, French and English, F/R and R/R broadcast materials in Canada, Burbank, France, and London
• Create Materials Delivery Requests (MDR) in SAP system to order tapes and digital files from Burbank for delivery to local clients
• Track all Canadian premieres and finales for Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, TruTV, HBO and HBOMax programming
• Update and distribute weekly delivery schedule to the internal servicing teams and external vendors to manage broadcast materials fulfillment
• Update and distribute weekly delivery schedules to all Canadian clients with primetime Programs under license
• Book satellite feeds and liaise with Syndication team on any schedule changes, evergreens or refeeds necessary
• Coordinate redelivery of all recalled content for Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, TruTV and HBOMax and ensure that the assets have been replaced with the respective V2 for future airings

Airdate Schedule Tracking (Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, TruTV, Adult Swim and HBOMax):
• Monitor and track the American broadcast network schedules for all Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, TruTV and HBOMax series
• Gather and format airdate information into periodic airdate schedule updates and data reports
• Communicate with Warner Bros. Burbank to obtain comprehensive, up-to-date airdate information
• Update last minute schedule changes due to pre-emptions, satellite feed issues and US network schedule changes with Canadian simulcast broadcasters and WB post-production services
• Available and reachable for occasional after-hours urgencies due to last-minute telecast schedule changes and satellite feed deliveries

Library Material Servicing (Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, TruTV, Shed, HBOMax, HBO and Adult Swim):
• Track all future, past and present library commitments and manage materials servicing of these agreements via tape or digital delivery either in house or via vendor for English and French Canada
• Track and coordinate data from the Client Relations team to confirm library DV availability in English and French for series and features
• Communicate any rejected assets to Mastering for internal review and manage redelivery where required
• Distribute weekly priority list for Content Servicing Rep to get all deliveries out in a timely fashion

Localization Servicing (Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, HBOMax, HBO Europe and Cartoon Network):
• Liaise with the French localization team to manage all French subtitled and dubbed content and delivery requirements for all French-Canadian clients
• Understand French broadcasters needs and materials requirements and manage any rejected assets and necessary redeliveries
• Liaise and coordinate with internal Legal teams to obtain approval for any French translated series titles as suggested by the Canadian Broadcaster
• Understand and communicate the French dub timelines to the Sales Admin team for accurate reflection in COSMOS

Animation Servicing (Warner Bros., Cartoon Network, HBOMax and Adult Swim):
• Monitor and track animation airdates based on US and worldwide airdate information for all animated series
• Track and distribute all French episode titles for animated content

HBO Servicing (HBO and HBO Europe):
• Track all future, past and present primetime and library commitments or selections, of all HBO series for delivery in English and French
• Create Materials Delivery Requests (MDR) in SAP system to order digital files from Burbank for delivery to local clients

Technical Audits & Onboardings:
• Track the execution of technical questionnaires for video-on-demand and digital file delivery with Canadian broadcasters and WB technical operations as per negotiated deals for current and upcoming broadcast seasons.
• Ensure that technical questionnaires are completed correctly and audited by WB technical operations for approval
• Coordinate all new client onboardings for in house Digital-End-to-End servicing
• Coordinate any materials spec changes between Canadian broadcast clients and the internal Client Servicing teams
