The Job

Plans, leads and organizes the tech-ops activities to ensure the readiness and capacity of the OTT/Digital platforms to support spikes, load demains (expected and unexpected) and the proper graceful down-scaling. Duties and responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and personnel. Develops strategies and initiatives to guarranty that the platforms and un good shape and healthy. Recommends policies, methods or processes; serves as expert advisor to internal/external clients. Implements strategies with direct impact on market / departmental / functional results. Focus on readiness, capacity and security as well as on efficiencies of the production environments from the user experience perspective.

Serve as a point of contact on events schedulling and demain planning.

The Daily
• Permanently seek out optimization opportunities of OTT/Digital products&platforms and technologies by working in tandem with architecture, development, PMO, Product, technology, digital Ops and support to ensure a great customer experience D2C and B2B.
• Fluent and best in class communication among all the teams involved, achieving the most effective way to tackle, track, follow, escalate and wrap up issues and new requests, to reduce the risks, impact and implementations' resolution time to market.
• Develop and track OTT/Digital related KPIs for the entirety products' lifecycles
• Oversee existing processes and make recommendations to improve the current ones or bring new proposals
• Act as a platform expert and escalation point on product readiness, scalability and performance experience the tech-ops standpoint.
• Assist on tracking milestones, prevent or eliminate roadblocks, evaluate feature sets and budgets of the projects to enable and facilitable the rollput, deployment and delivery of fixes, features, enhancements, etc.
• Look for and research for modern best practices, market trends and continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and methodologies to maintain a high level of service
• Collaborate and be a liason among other technical and product areas to optimize strategies and to identify new customers' needs, tools and solutions as our tech stack evolves
• Work with stakeholders and cross functional teams to define project scope, features and characteristics of OTT/Digital related technologies and assist in the coordination of the PMO, support functions and external partners to ensure the products accomplish and meets the business requirements and definitions
• Support and help other areas to accomplish the goals effectively and coach, teach and evangelise those people who needs help or have less experience

The Essentials
• 5+ years video-content digital media industries experience
• AWS DevOPS expertise setting up and managing environments, automation, scaling, elasticity, performance & security
• Cloud and services auto-scalling ''automation'' based on schedules or sensed load/hits
• Experience playing a leadership role across a broad set of cross-functional operational, technical, product and business teams.
• Cloud and CDN Topologies, scripting knowledge and high load and demand services is a plus
• Akamai, CloudFont or Level3 CDN - Caching experience
• 4+ years experience managing OTT/Digital Platform Reliability Engineering & Operations at a large scale editorial, e-commerce or video service - B2B and/or D2C.
• Demonstrated success experience in having actively participated on the development of innovative mobile&web video-Streaming and OTT platform
• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or Computing or equivalent years experience and knowledge in the matter.
• Advanced-Fluent English

• Dynamic & Per-title Encoding, ABR, DRM Content Protection, Analytics, AdSeving.
• Coding knowledge and experience (java, python, javascript, Node JS, etc) on known frameworks, scripting, automation. Not a developer anymore, but can handle code reviews, code analysis, debugging and propose fixes
• Leads creation, CRM, Subscription and Payment Platforms
• BI data insights analytics related to digital/online payment platforms
• Scalable system architecture based on micro-services
