The Account Representative plays a critical role in the revenue generation and success of the network by selling dynamic sports sponsorships, innovative promotional packages and targeted advertising spot schedules to direct clients and ad agencies. This individual will focus on developing his/her sales techniques under the guidance of the Sales Managers and other team members. This is an outside sales role requiring heavy client-contact, in-person and via telephone/email.

The Daily
• Build presentation materials, packages, and research details for prospective clients
• Prospect for new Ad sales clients within the RSN footprint
• Contact prospective clients for in person or virtual meetings
• Be able to present materials to prospective clients
• Maintain current client relationships with updates on orders
• Service current clients schedules with post logs, pre logs, and ratings information
• Maintain revenue reports to discuss with manager for revenue goals

The Essentials
• 2 years of full-time work experience in a sales or promotions department preferably in a sports environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Marketing or Sales or equivalent experience
• Experienced in creating advertising proposals and being creative in solving client marketing needs
• Knowledge of the Houston sports marketing industry and trends as it relates to sports television advertising including competitive trends and the Pittsburgh advertising market in general
• Demonstrated ability to sell benefits of sports television advertising and features/benefits as it relates to potential clients
• Proficient in Wide Orbit traffic system, Strata, and Microsoft Office, with the ability to adapt and innovate with new technologies
• Proven self-starter able to meet deadlines and quotas and strategically plan for success
• Passionate knowledge of regional sports teams, both pro and collegiate
• Proven ability to work with all levels of individuals, both internally and externally, with professionalism, integrity and tact
• Must have reliable personal transportation to attend client meetings and service clients effectively
• Highly effective in communicating both written and oral information to clients and internal staff
• A professional appearance and telephone manner, as this position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
• Must be able to work varied and flexible hours in support of client entertainment needs (i.e. nights, weekends, and holidays)
