MMJ/REPORTER (Florence-Muscle Shoals Bureau) - WAFF

About WAFF:

WAFF is the dominant station in the Tennessee Valley both on-air and on-line. We cover breaking news and weather all with a heart for the community.

Job Description/Summary:

WAFF needs an enterprising reporter who loves telling stories. We want reporters who want to turn lead stories. Ideal candidate must cultivate sources.

MMJ must be able to shoot, write and edit 2 packages per day. Able to work any shift as needed. Must be able to turn a digital story on daily stories. Engaged with social media. Solid knowledge of legal and ethical issues impacting journalism. This is a position in one of the fastest growing areas in our DMA. Please note, primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to what is listed above.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field. Social media proficiency. Excellent time management skills. Strong writing skills (broadcast & print)
