Job Description
The role is a senior management production role for both Vice Digital & Vice+ LOBs across the APAC region and will be accountable for the scoping, budgeting, crewing execution oversight, and reporting of multiple projects simultaneously. Project scope can vary from (but not limited to) video production, podcasts, and social media campaigns. This role will be critical in ensuring the smooth functioning of the VICE video team & production across all internal projects and designing best practices across Asia.

This role will work closely with the VP of Production to ensure we achieve the highest level of quality products in the most efficient way.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

GENERAL
• Scoping, budgeting, and resourcing for commercial and topline original project budgets across the region.
• Helping optimize day-to-day operations of the department
• Optimizing production resources across the region and across the digital line of business.
• Delivering efficiencies through new and innovative work processes.
• Contribute to monthly and annual cost reports for production regionally.
• Oversee vendor management and third-party contracting for all VICE content.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with the regional production leads to ensure inter-departmental efficiencies across the region, whilst helping to nurture a collaborative and unified production approach.
ORIGINAL VIDEO PRODUCTION
• Negotiate and secure production vendor and freelancer deals that deliver quality services whilst ensuring maximum production efficiency across Asia.
• Monitor topline budgets and schedule for all productions (revising the schedule and budgets to ensure delivery schedule is maintained and annual budgets delivered).
• Ensuring Finance & commercial teams are kept informed and regularly updated as appropriate
• Oversee project budget spends and ensure timely budget tracking is maintained and amended as needed, to deliver the projects on time and on budget.
• Ensuring vendors are paid within the stipulated time frame to maintain best practices and good relationships.
• Assist local teams in planning and coordinating travel
• Hiring local teams, technical/freelance crew during shoots as needed.
• Monthly/quarterly Production budget review and analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with documentary content ranging from short-form to long-form content (4-6 years of production experience, with the addition of management experience).
• Proven experience delivering on a broad range of production budget values across international locations.
• Proven production experience across Asian markets (please provide examples).
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, simultaneously supporting several projects in various phases of production.
• Established network of vendors and crew/creative talent across the APAC region.
• Team-player who operates in a fast-paced team-oriented setting.
• Willingness to continue learning to adapt to technology and production processes to further assist the APAC production team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google software (including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail, and Drive) - budgeting software such as Movie Magic is an advantage but not essential.
• Excellent verbal and written English, fluency in other languages spoken across the region will be an advantage.
