Overview:

The VP of Consumer Products marketing at ViacomCBS Consumer Products (VCP) will lead the Consumer Product Marketing team, which is comprised of retail marketing, social marketing, and brand go-to-market strategy. Responsible for bringing brands to life for the consumer through high impact, omnichannel retail activations, social marketing, and new and prioritized IP launch campaigns. The CP Marketing team provides a macro view of new IP opportunities and go-to-market strategies and connects CP to the consumer via alignment with our retail partners, collaboration with all collaborators, omnichannel retail marketing excellence and detailed execution and processes.

Responsibilities:
• Lead marketing planning & retail marketing initiatives in collaboration with all internal collaborators as well as with key external partners.
• Build and develop a team that is recognized as a leader in the retail marketing space.
• Develop positive relationships with our key partner marketing leadership teams.
Omnichannel Retail Marketing Excellence:
• Define retail marketing strategies for our top retailers and priority properties to drive consumer engagement and innovative sales of VCP products and franchises with all major retailers.
• Implement programs at assigned retailers.

Execution & Efficiency:
• Create programs that can be used cross-company. Enhance return on investment on resources by planning early with our global organization to ensure that strategies, materials, and standard methodologies are optimized.
• Evaluate campaign success and return on investment to ensure retail efforts are optimized.

Brand Strategy & Portfolio Management:
• Provide a macro-view of ViacomCBS CP's brand portfolio, mapping against LRP goals, and deliver thoughtful analysis and recommendations against new IP opportunities being considered for CP programs.
• Work with Franchise leads to compile long-range portfolio roadmap.

Go-To-Market Strategy:
• Centralize & formalize go-to-market strategies for priority brands and tentpole initiatives to ensure a cohesive strategy cross-department.

Goal metrics:
• Deliver Brand Value: Continue to establish the ViacomCBS Consumer Products brand and value proposition to retail and licensees. Set long-range CP and Retail marketing strategy and complete account-specific retail marketing strategies to enhance revenues and support LRP growth.
• Build for the Future: Set up for success by investing now to meet future LRP revenue goals. Disrupt with outstanding portfolio, groundbreaking creative & differentiating business intelligence/ insights.
• Always on Ecommerce: Ensure an ''always-on'' ecommerce marketing presence across major retailers.
• Enhance Priority Properties: Seed and establish new IP and priority properties at retail.
• Accelerate non-Nick growth: Create new opportunities for our non-Nick portfolio, through investment in developing a model for digital-first experiences aligned with key content beats.
• Invest in New Capabilities: Be on the pulse of trends and continue to innovate in areas such as gaming, social, streaming, etc.
• Know & Analyze Retailer strategies: to tailor custom programs that are successful for each individual retailer.
• Develop and handle account specific retail marketing budgets. Handle priorities and resources to effectively support our business.
• Collaborate with LOBs and Licensees on retail marketing campaigns and secure vendor funding to optimize campaigns.
• Internal collaborator management: align with GCG and Franchise on timelines & creative asset development.
• Collaborate on partner & retail presentations: expansive of roads, studio swings, webinars, etc.
• Prioritize team growth & management: ensure evolving development with a team of retail marketing professionals. Frequently cultivate high engagement and morale.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 12+ years of experience in retail marketing, marketing communications, brand/franchise management.
• 8+ years retail marketing experience with retailers or at a retailer. Positive relationships with major retailers a plus.

Additional Qualifications:
• Marketing or sales experience at an entertainment, e-commerce or toy company.
• Experience in retail marketing programs with toys, apparel, or other consumer products category.
• Global experience a plus.
