The Job

The Media Group (TMG) is looking for a dynamic and ambitious Paid Social Media Planner to join our team. We are the in-house media strategy & planning group at WarnerMedia, and this role will specifically support TurnerSports (NBA on TNT, NBATV, NHL, March Madness & March Madness Live, MLB Post Season, AEW and a variety of live events). Reporting to the Senior Social Media Manager, you'll be lock-step with the broader media planning team to focus on paid social, delivering creative and innovative media plans on our core platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Snap. You'll have a seat at the table with our internal marketing teams to provide creative solutions for paid social placements and will be a key player on the paid social team, offering support to your peers as needed. The ideal candidate must be results driven, ambitious, organized, articulate and a self-starter.

The Daily
• Focus on planning paid media and paid social strategy for campaigns across major social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snap
• Work in paid social dashboards to report on campaign progress, build campaign targeting, size audiences, provide reach data & strategy
• Build paid social media plans with placements on major social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snap. Be able to create media plans based on ad objectives and bid type
• Analyze and evaluate ad optimization triggers across major social platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snap. Understanding of what ad placements are best suited for specific optimization types, like engagement and video views
• Analyze and evaluate paid social direct response ads, such as mobile app install & mobile app engagement, conversion ads & link-click ads. Understanding of what ad placements are best suited for direct response optimization to drive success against hard monetization targets
• Analyze data to optimize campaigns to stay on target
• Create client-facing reports that show the success of the plan and campaign stewardship
• Analyze measurement studies and attribution to identify strategic opportunities while also demonstrating a willingness to bring new ideas, approaches and tests to the client
• Oversee social media budgets, pacing and monthly billing reconciliation

The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing or related field
• 3-4 years of experience executing or managing paid social media campaigns
• Solid understanding of paid, earned and owned media
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficient, knowledgeable and or certified in but not limited to: Facebook Blue Print, Twitter Flight School, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, Twitter Ads, Snap Ads, TikTok Ads, Kenshoo, 4C, Brand Networks
• Prior agency-side experience is preferred
• Team lead, or lead planner would be an awesome asset, though not required for this role
• Able to handle multiple, competing priorities while meeting deadlines, managing risk, and troubleshooting problems with ease
• Able to manage a meeting-heavy schedule and keep yourself organized and accountable to all stakeholders
• A working knowledge of and light to medium experience planning (or managing) campaigns for paid media channels beyond paid social, including digital, video, mobile & streaming audio.
