POSITION SUMMARY

The Payroll Manager will oversee the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on a Semi Monthly (Staff Employees) and Bi Weekly (Freelance Employees) payroll schedule accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

The position is Freelance, with the possibility of transferring to Staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure domestic and international payroll is processed in an accurate and timely manner while accounting for the funding of all payroll deductions to third parties and tax authorities
• Processing/Validating all Payroll Tax-related transactions including but not limited to; new hire tax set-up, termination payments, taxability of benefit deductions, Federal/State/Local tax withholdings, Supplemental Income taxation, Taxable Fringe benefits, Visa tax exemptions, stock, and equity grants, etc.
• Resolve employee incidents related to payroll processing
• Entering non-recurring payroll changes and adjustments in the payroll system
• Ensure compliance with required state wage and hour laws
• Partner with HR , benefits, and Finance to create seamless end to end processes
• Assist with any relevant audits and reviews, including those around financial statements, SOX compliance, worker's compensation, and the 401k plan.
• Drive solutions for any discrepancies by partnering with the Payroll Service Provider for Domestic and the UK.
• Maintain current knowledge of company policies and procedures, benefit plans, and legal requirements to ensure reports are timely and the company is in compliance with all regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements
• 10+ years of payroll experience in both domestic and international environments
• Prior payroll experience with knowledge of state and federal wage and hour laws
• Knowledge in benefit programs, and compensation/equity principles and practices

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with international payroll and general business growth and expansion necessitating the creation of payroll functions in new entities
• HRIS/Payroll systems : ADPWorkForce Now
• Proficient in Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and vendors
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities with deadlines, without sacrificing quality
