THE JOB

As a member of the Finance Team, you will be working in all areas across the function and interacting with many different stakeholders. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the day to day running of the department and play a key role in the daily accounting and financial reporting activities of the business.

We are not looking for just 'a numbers person', but a detective who can uncover the root cause of issues, create strategies, and implement process change when needed. The role will be varied and involve working with a range of internal and external data sets, as well as building relationships with stakeholders internally and externally.

The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient and thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Knowledge or passion of the music/entertainment industry always a plus.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

This role has end to end ownership of the Ticketweb client sales and settlement process to include:

Client Accounting
Overall responsibility for managing the portfolio of Ticketmaster and Ticketweb Client settlements, this entails:
• Gaining an in depth understanding and knowledge of Client deals
• Ensuring Client's contracts are setup correctly for invoicing purposes
• Weekly management of client settlements, ensuring every event is settled within specified SLAs.
• Supervise a team of 3 client accounts assistants to ensure timely delivery of settlements to Clients.
• Liaising with various business stakeholders to ensure accurate data is being settled
• Manage Client relationships, by assisting the team and following up on any queries and ensuring timely resolution of same
• Management of client payments, ensuring clients receive all event payments within specified SLA
• Responsibility for ensuring all events are accurately accounted for on the accounting system
• Accountability for ensuring monthly client reports are accurate and delivered within specified SLA timelines
• Guide the team in monitoring Client Creditor reports and follow up older items for closure
• Management of the Client month-end close procedures within strict deadlines.
Overall responsibility for managing the Client banking function of Ticketmaster and Ticketweb Clients, this entails:
• Gaining an in-dept understanding of Ticketmaster's banking system
• Gaining an in-dept understanding of Ticketmaster's payment processes
• Guiding the team with allocation and reconciliation issues, where appropriate
• Leading dispute resolution, where necessary, between banking partners, internal teams etc.
• Accountability for the monthly banking close and ensuring accuracy of reporting for Management accounts purposes.

Financial Accounting and Other
• Responsibility for processing weekly sales transactions and reporting sales to management
• Responsibility for ensuring precise posting of sales from ticketing system to financial accounting system
• Accountability for the monthly processing of Ticketmaster revenue to financial accounting system, including liaising with the Business, where necessary, to ensure Ticketmaster P&L reporting is accurate
• Ownership of Client and revenue Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate revenue recognition and accounting treatment within monthly reporting deadlines
• Ownership of one LN entity accounts in entirety, including internal and external reporting requirements
• Preparation of month-end corporate reports for ticketing metrics
• Assist with the internal and external statutory audit process
• Other ad-hoc projects and duties as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Fully Qualified accountant
• IT Proficiency a must, previous experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle a plus
• Experience of working in a multi-division and international company preferred.
• Great teammate with strong communication and social skills
• Commercially astute with strong analytical skills
• Strong problem-solving skills including the ability to identify and prevent potential problems, as well as challenge and improve existing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and Vast knowledge of accounting standards
• Highly motivated and dynamic – ability to work to deadlines and achieve targets in a time-conscious manner
• Professional appearance and attitude
