The Director for TV Distribution primary role is to be TVD senior sales expert with more than 8 yrs. of experience with ample knowledge of the business and with a strategic and creative skill set that will contribute to exceed sales targets. leading the team responsible for all Free TV and local cable/SVOD sales in Latin America and US Hispanic identify growth opportunities. Skilled and collaborative with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

The Director, Distribution is a highly motivated, strategic thinking leader who shares a passion for content and driving business growth to work in our TV distribution division based in Mexico City. Reporting to the SVP Distribution, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Client Relationships: Must have or be able to develop and nurture exceptionally strong and lasting relationships with our key clients and partners.
• Leadership: Be prepared to manage a distribution sales team. Be a role model to the regional teams and the rest of the organization, always looking to drive, motivate and inspire the long-term growth of people and the business.
• Strategy Development: Work with the SVP, Distribution, SVP, Sales Planning, and other teams in the establishment of budgets, goals, priorities and strategies reflecting optimum market potential in all media in the region
• Planning: Review, establish and execute processes and guidelines for all aspects of the sales planning process, including smart and aggressive windowing, pricing and product maximization, considering business objectives, market conditions, best alternatives, etc.
• Budget Setting: Prepare aggressive and sound, annual sales budgets. Provide sales estimates and projections on individual deals and products, and ensure such projections are met.
• Deal Negotiation and Management: Manage volume deals and package deals ensuring maximization of commitments and revenue generation. Formulate and implement sales strategies and ensure optimization and maximization of major volume and or/output deals in the region. Demonstrate skill in negotiating and papering aggressive and favorable terms.
• Meeting Sales Goals and Promoting New Business Opportunities: Achieve and exceed annual sales budgets focusing on growth targets, cost control requirements and established strategies for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Continuously work towards generating incremental sales and revenue opportunities.
• Marketing & Promotion & Data Analytics: Liaise and collaborate with Marketing, Public Relations and Data Analytics Teams to oversee and implement marketing, public relations and promotional strategies that support our client relationships and foment increased product performance in the various media.
• Operations: Work with multiple operations teams in Miami and Los Angeles to increase efficiency and accuracy of the avail lists generation, the management and administration of contracts, amendments, start orders, change orders, approvals, draft allocations, product delivery, etc.
• Sony Relationships: Manage and strengthen relationships within Sony Pictures Television Distribution (Sales Planning, Business Affairs, Marketing & Publicity, etc.), across other divisions at Sony Pictures Entertainment (Theatrical, Home Entertainment, Production, Legal, WPF, People & Organization, etc.) and with other Sony Corp. entities including Music, Electronics, Mobile, PlayStation, etc.).
• Systems: Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure the smooth running and management of systems, ensure the purity of data and identifying and addressing issues prior to or early in their identification.

Requirements:

The individual must have and/or demonstrate:
• 8+ years in senior media sales and management role
• Entrepreneurial spirit and attitude, professional courage, initiative and innovation
• Demonstrated ability to lead a sales team to reach their goals and remain motivated
• Advanced sales, negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with output deals/distribution deals in all related media categories
• Media knowledge and experience in dealing with the Digital, New Media, Telecommunications companies
• Results- driven with strong customer focus and relationship management
• Experience managing a team of employees towards business and personal growth and achievement
• Ability to travel regularly both domestically and overseas
• Excellent communication (verbal/written) skills in both English, Spanish and Portuguese (Preferably)
• Unquestionable integrity
• Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
