VP, Innovation & Corporate Strategy

Job Description

The Vice President of Innovation and Corporate Strategy will be an entrepreneurial leader who will be responsible for further building and scaling the Innovation Program at Sinclair and driving the development, roll-out, refinement and integration of the Corporate Strategy.

Responsible for developing long-term strategies, programs, and collaboration, this role will enable and inspire teams to research, ideate, and execute to produce revenue generation for the organization.

Part leader, part player, this role was created to advance key priorities by leading, cultivating and implementing strategies across the organization and varying groups/stakeholders.

Job Duties:
• Advise and facilitate team enablement in support of various Innovation and Corporate Strategy stakeholders to mobilize respective strategies and make decisions that result in effective and efficient execution, achievement of goals, and impactful contribution to EBITDA
• Lead Innovation and Corporate Strategy Program Teams, removing barriers, guiding vision and execution, and developing talent
• Serve as direct partner to executive team to report progress, risks, and guidance
• Work with key stakeholders to market the innovation program and culture both internally and externally to attract more external collaboration opportunities, make Sinclair more attractive to top talent and generate more positive PR stories
• Motivate and inspire stakeholders towards a unified goal & creation of different innovative environments
• Oversee Innovation & Corporate Strategy progress, surface pivots and/or risks as needed, with focus on iteration and evolution year over year
• Translate progress and expectations in a simple, yet connective way that enables foresight and surfaces blind spots (corporate strategy & innovation strategy)
• Establish a plan to communicate and cascade strategy and vision for Innovation and Corporate Strategy
• Assess industry and community market trends, leading to the generation of innovative ideas
• Evolve the vision for the Innovation ecosystem, and identify skills and talent to establish a dedicated team

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will bring previous innovation experience and will provide leadership and strategic direction.
• Senior executive with relevant professional experience in implementing and executing a diverse array of strategy and planning services
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
• Creative, entrepreneurial thinker, with proven record of not only generating ideas, but seeing them through to the launch of innovative systems and platforms
• Ability to communicate and work in an agile fashion with executives and experts across a diverse spectrum of fields
• Critically think across diverse platforms/areas of the business to form multi-layer strategies, keeping aim front of mind
• Strategic thinker, with knowledge of innovation standards, as well as key players and trends to understand business complexities and develop innovative experiences
• Balance of visionary and operational approaches
