Regional Digital Content Director

Job Description

Sinclair is searching for a digital manager who will help lead the charge into the digital news landscape. The Regional Digital Content Director will help our local teams grow to their full potential … and then get them to grow beyond that. You'll be asked to travel across the country to help local markets expand their digital footprint. If you already make data-driven choices in your day-to-day, and you love to see that numbers grow, we'd like to talk to you. Our ideal candidate is a person who has a track record of leading successful digital news teams.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Five-seven years of experience managing a digital news operation
• Willingness to travel (50%)
• Self-starter
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Chartbeat, SiteCatalyst, ComScore, Crowdtangle
• Excel in social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
• Expertise in digital video

Skills
• Microsoft Office
• Adobe CC (Photoshop, Premiere)
• Knowledge of content management systems like WordPress or similar platforms
• Excellent news writing skills
• Photograph/Video editing (for broadcast and digital)
• Ability to train, cultivate and lead small teams of digital journalists and TV news employees
• High-level organizational skills
• Masterful headline writer
• Excel at breaking news
• Deep understanding of digital media statistics and how to boost statistics
