News Production Assistant (PT)

NTV News has an exciting opportunity for a part-time News Production Technician!
Our production technicians are so much more than the title suggests. In this role you will be a key asset to our overall mission, helping us to achieve our vison of being the best news station in the nation.

Responsibilities include:
• Audio and/or Camera for our daily newscasts along with:
• Setup & teardown of newscasts including (but not limited to):
• Studio and set preparation
• Maintaining studio (including cleaning)
• Lighting
• Video Editing
• Digital Posting
• Graphic creation
• Studio Recordings and Live Newscasts
• And many other duties as needed in our thriving and busy newsroom.

Experience:
• Experience is not necessary as we will train the right person, but education and/or internship in television or related field is preferred
• This is a fantastic opportunity for someone local, who is hoping to get into the exciting and extremely important world of journalism. From here, you can go anywhere

General Hours:
• Local News is a 24/7 operation. Standard shifts include 4:00 AM to 1:00 PM or 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM. You will not work both mornings and evenings but rather all morning shifts or all evening shifts. As this is a part-time job, working days and/or days off will occasionally change.
