Job Profile

We have an exciting vacancy for a creative publicist to join our creative and dynamic team. Reporting to the Managing Director (India), the role will manage publicity campaigns on a range of Simon & Schuster titles.

The Role

The role involves executing successful campaigns for Simon & Schuster fiction and non-fiction, and to plan and deliver imaginative, effective and strategic publicity campaigns across both traditional and digital media. The Publicity manager will work closely with high profile authors and agents, as well as colleagues in editorial, marketing, and sales teams on fully integrated promotional plans. There will also be management of organising events and book tours.

The Candidate Profile

We are looking for a talented and creative publicist with strong communication skills, an imaginative approach and a demonstrable understanding of book publishing. You will have a keen eye for detail and design, with a proven track record of delivering impactful, inventive campaigns across all media. You will be confident in delivering pitches and presentations to authors, agents and retailers. The successful candidate will also display strategic thinking and planning, detailed market awareness and consumer insight alongside creative abilities. Good media contacts and vendor relations will be essential. It would be advantageous for candidates to have a strong awareness of social media trends and presenting innovative ideas that will drive and keep the business growing.
