Simon and Schuster, Inc. is seeking a Sales Manager to join the International Sales team to manage our global rights integration. This will include oversight of titles on distribution between the US, Canada, UK, India, and Australia. Additionally, this role will manage the US-based export edition program and the implementation of cooperative advertising with our accounts. This role will work closely with both the US and UK based open market sales teams to maximize our distribution options.

Responsibilities:
• Curate list of eligible front list titles seasonally for distribution into the UK, India, and Australia tailored to the individual territory demographics.
• Maintain an ongoing calendar of publicity and marketing opportunities to further expand distribution opportunities.
• Manage the US-based paperback export edition program by curating from both our wholly owned and distribution client publication schedules.
• Manage overall cooperative advertising budget by working closely with the rest of the international sales team.
• Serve as primary point of contact for all internal communication and questions regarding title queries, rights opportunities, and trafficking as needed to the appropriate internal team
• Provide weekly account reporting, sales and performance analysis, trends, and market share.

Qualifications:
• Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience: 4+ years of experience in publishing, preferably in international sales, with proven leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, problem solve, and demonstrate initiative in a deadline driven environment
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization, and attention to detail
• Results-oriented, motivated, resourceful and able to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint (prior knowledge of lookup & pivot tables helpful, though not required)
• Prior knowledge of Cognos business intelligence software preferred, or a desire to learn
• Strong interest in book publishing, content strategy, and the international marketplace.
