The Program Operations & Distribution Department (POD) coordinates global content distribution, partnering with the Global Paramount Sales team and third-party sales distributors, aligning efforts to reach all ancillary markets! We provide content distribution which includes scripted and unscripted programming formats, marketing and promotional campaigns, descriptive metadata and foreign localization formats. Distribution outlets include output partnerships, streaming services, digital retailers, and various other ancillary licensing models.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervisor will help coordinate the day-to-day operations of the global enterprise-level DAM (Digital Asset Management) system, SAMM-e (Showtime Asset Media Management Exchange).
• Supervise the SAMM-e coordinator to help direct the ingestion, download, and curation of various assets related to full length programming and short-form content.
• Lead daily operations with all aspects of asset archival in SAMM-e, including, but not limited to, advising on upload and download fails, system technical issues, metadata updates and daily clean-up of open IT tickets.
• Work closely with interdepartmental teams (Marketing Distribution, Incoming Delivery, Outgoing Distribution, Photography) to establish accurate and punctual asset ingest and curation into SAMM-e for vendor/client access of assets.
• Support internal teams with critical and time-sensitive digital asset requests, such as video, audio, photography, and other marketing assets for distribution fulfillment.
• Be accountable for timely asset trafficking from delivery to Network through to archival and outgoing distribution from SAMM-e to ensure detailed reporting to Manager, Digital Asset Curation of any system malfunctions and outages.
• Help maintain physical library and barcode tracking system for past and future assets
• Assist with tracking and coordinating both physical and digital department assets
• Perform daily duties related to adding and updating title metadata to the Original Content Management System (OCMS).
• Perform LTO outputs, labeling, crafting manifest log, archiving and other duties as identified or assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years equivalent work experience preferably at a television network, film studio or independent film company, or other media company.
• Deep understanding of video and audio asset types (codecs and formats), audio configurations, image formats, and industry standard methodologies on file naming conventions.
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere) and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge with virtual computing instances a plus.
• Mac and PC proficient.
• Possess a strong knowledge of media file transfer software such as Aspera (Client, Faspex), Signiant Media Shuttle.
• Working with physical assets such as external hard drives, LTO tapes (various generations) and LTO drives, HDCamSR, Digibeta, DA-88 and DVD-Rs.
• Proven ability to handle high volumes of work. Proven prioritization, planning and task delegation under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Understanding of taxonomy development and metadata standards.
