Overview & Responsibilities:

Showtime Networks is looking for a senior backend engineer to join its Product Engineering team based here in NYC. We build and operate all backend API support for web, iOS, tvOS, Roku, Chromecast, Android mobile, Android TV, Fire TV, Fire tablet, Samsung TVs, LG TVs, and Xbox One for Showtime's two streaming services, SHOWTIME and Showtime Anytime. Senior candidates will be able to lend a hand to our junior developers, helping them through pull requests, thorny problems and just generally guiding them as they learn the ropes, and learning new things themselves. Qualities that we all share are creativity, self-motivation, and a desire to develop new skills. We are close-knit team building the future of television, and we're growing to support new platforms and new features.

Basic Qualifications:
• Five+ years of hands-on development experience with Java or similar language
• Familiarity with web applications, architectures, and deployment
• Curiosity

Additional Qualifications:
• Experience with some of the technologies we use: Groovy, JavaScript, Lambdas, Jenkins, Mongo, Redis, Consul, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, AWS
