The Software Developer plays a meaningful role in the architecture and development of Showtime's digital marketing software initiatives! The Digital Marketing Platforms group builds, maintains and manages numerous websites, marketing technologies and partner services. Areas of focus include back-end Java web development, application performance monitoring and tuning, and the ability to explore and learn new technologies!

Key responsibilities
• Assume accountability for the success of new applications and projects.
• Use and mandate best practices in software development, including appropriate design patterns and RESTful Web Services.
• Create reusable components that are scalable and easily maintained.
• Participate as reviewer and review in the pull request process.
• Ability to comprehend new technological solutions and implement them to resolve specific client requests.
• Facilitate communication with front end developers in order to provide them with back-end data solutions for Rich Internet Clients..

Experience and qualifications
• An excellent foundation with the following technologies: Core Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Java Servlet API, JSP, JPA, XML, JSON, Hibernate, GIT, and JAXB.
• Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, preferably Oracle and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with *nix systems and using the command line.
• Eagerness to learn scalable application development in the cloud. Experience with AWS a plus.
• Desire to learn and use new technologies to resolve a wide array of problems.
• Exemplary diligence, attention to detail and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Builds strong dedication within the team to support the appropriate team priorities
