Job Description
Sesame Workshop is looking for an Administrative Assistant, Strategic Communications. The Administrative Assistant position provides administrative support for the Strategic Communications/ Corporate Communications team which oversees all messaging and announcements for Sesame Workshop and reports to the Head of Strategic Communications.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for managing complex calendars, scheduling meetings and taking incoming calls for the department Vice President. The role works with the team to distribute agendas and information for meetings, compile weekly press clips, monitor publicity for projects and manage press lists via Cision Point, all with the supervision and input of the team. This role checks and monitors the Corporate Communications email and mail, which includes fan letters and external press inquiries. This position will take on other duties as assigned, including general office support.

Responsibilities
• Manage team calendar, working collaboratively with colleagues to schedule meetings
• Compile and submit expense reports for VP, AVPs and Directors as needed
• Coordinate media training for Workshop executives, with the oversight of the department VP
• Oversee day-to-day tasks of department interns
• Help with onboarding logistics for new department hires
• Coordinate international and domestic travel arrangements, briefing documents, and production logistics for interviews and appearances with Sesame Street Muppets and SW executives, all with supervision of team members
• Support publicists at events and promotional appearances as needed
• Help publicists in coordinating logistics for press interviews/shoots
• Coordinate travel and meal arrangements for department as needed
• Help manage urgent requests from publicists (working with archives to pull images, working with legal to clear images, help publicist with budgeting logistics)
• Provide support for Sesame Street and other content set photography selects
• Stock office supplies and department premiums; manage package deliveries via UPS and FedEx

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented and proactive
• Ability to be flexible with work assignments and environments
• Good judgment and discretion with confidential matters
• Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and anticipate work needs in a changing environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Outlook
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
