Job Description

Overview:

Pluto TV is looking for a Manager, Communications, to play a key role working with internal and external stakeholders to help organize, track and communicate the Company's ongoing initiatives. Writing will be a key function in this role, so the ideal candidate will be a strong writer with a wide range of experience in writing material for both external (media) and internal (company-facing) use including, but not limited to, press releases, messaging, presentations, newsletters and more. They also must be extremely organized and ready to support the Pluto team on efforts across consumer & b2b press, activations, and programs. This position will report to the Head of Global Communications.

Responsibilities:
• Craft media materials, including press releases, talking points, speech writing, memos, press kits, Executive bios, PowerPoints, and other collateral
• Plan and help to implement projects and campaigns related to Pluto TV channels, shows, and other publicity efforts
• Maintain a comprehensive tracking system and calendar of projects, events, programming, speaking engagements and more
• Partner with the Head of Communications to continuously update and create internal and external messaging, leading on drafting materials through approvals at various stages
• Run and coordinate details around speaking opportunities and panels for Pluto TV executives, including scheduling and all preparation of documents for executives
• Act a liaison for cross-division and cross company PR, Social Impact and Events needs
• Work closely with marketing, programming, distribution, engineering and other teams on press matters and campaigns, ensuring cohesive messaging and coordination
• Learn and utilize company-wide systems around finance, programming, engineering and more
• Track budgets for media campaigns and activations
• Support the Head of Global Communications in attending key external and internal meetings.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 3 - 5 years of hands-on, written media relations experience in the streaming television/entertainment business is needed
• Strong writing skills, computer proficiency, and social-media-savvy required
• Proven knowledge of and passion for the digital media and entertainment industries
• Proficiency in vernacular, trends and speech used across streaming, OTT, tech, production and more
• Shown ability to build engaging communications campaigns that align with business objectives
• Team-oriented, collaborative, and flexible to work across various business groups across the company
• Proven organizational skills, excellent written and oral presentation skills, and ability to troubleshoot and provide successful resolutions
• Strategic problem-solver who is a dedicated and responsive team player with the ability to think creatively and generate new ideas
