Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Software Engineer (RD SW Engineering) in San Mateo, CA to discover new use cases for features unique to company platforms. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience developing SDK features, writing technology tutorials, and delivering samples for SDKs. Prior experience must include two (2) years of writing production code samples to demonstrate the usage, and best practices for working with new features; evaluating SDK features, and proposing changes/improvements to cross-organization and cross-region development teams; working with graphics profiling and debugging tools, including NSight and RenderDoc; evaluating and implementing algorithms to improve VR rendering performance; porting graphics and shader code over to new platforms; and utilizing advanced rendering techniques including HDR, volumetric lighting, as well as GPU architectures and optimization techniques.
