Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer in San Mateo, CA to develop, test and deploy highly available and scalable distributed systems and services. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent, and three (3) years of experience debugging, configuring and tuning Application server, JVM, OS and databases. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience conducting agile software development process, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations; deploying, operating, and running services in Cloud; working with cloud storage platforms including S3 and google cloud storage; designing, implementing and unit testing server-side Java software across the full Agile Software Development Lifecycle, including iterative development, estimations and software design sessions; designing and implementing REST APIs, Messaging services and batch processes; implementing multiple levels of caching techniques; performing software and hardware root cause analysis; designing and developing large scale software web applications using Java on high traffic Internet sites; building highly resilient microservices using Hystrix; utilizing Java frameworks including Spring, Spring Boot, RESTFul microservices, Web Service, ORM frameworks including JPA, Hibernate, Messaging Frameworks and techniques including JMS, SQS, SNS; working with databases including Oracle, MySQL, DynamoDb, and POSTGRESQL; and working with data formats such as XML and JSON and other software development tools including Maven, Git, Dynatrace, Splunk, POSTMAN, Swagger.
