Job Description
We are looking for a Production Manager to join a growing and enthusiastic team servicing two manga-heavy clients in Kodansha (home to the award-winning and New York Times-bestselling Attack on Titan series) and Square Enix (Final Fantasy, Nier: Automata, and Soul Eater, among others). Focusing primarily on reprints, the title mix is approximately 350+ titles annually and includes, but is not limited to, paperback novels, boxed sets, and special projects.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Request estimates, create purchase orders, and act as a liaison between printers and the PRHPS team
• Work closely with the inventory team to schedule and place reprints at printers
• Review reprint files before releasing to ensure they're printer-ready
• Update digital tracking networks as necessary and follow up with printers to ensure schedules are kept
• Route, review, and approve revised files/proofs as necessary
• Attend and participate in production meetings

Essential Qualifications/Requirements:
• 3 years of experience in book publishing in a production role. Will consider applicants with relevant bookmaking experience
• Strong organizational skills, detailed-oriented, and the ability to prioritize a comprehensive workload
• Self-starter who's able to work independently and within a team in a remote environment
• An excellent communicator with a high degree of both written and verbal skills to match
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) required; knowledge of SAP, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and InDesign a plus
