Penguin Random House Consumer Marketing is seeking an Associate to join the Performance Marketing team, a rapidly growing team dedicated to campaign reporting, benchmarking, advertising audience strategy.
The Associate, Performance Marketing, will be responsible for compiling and analyzing Random House Children's Books/Penguin Young Readers campaign reporting, as well as providing key support and performance recommendations to divisional marketing stakeholders as well as to the Paid Media Strategy & AdOps team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong digital or performance marketer to work on innovative, impactful corporate marketing projects while serving as a key strategic partner to our children's divisions to improve their title advertising efforts.
Responsibilities:
Work in partnership and collaboration with the Assistant Director of Performance Marketing to:
• Compile weekly, seasonal, and annual performance reports to inform future strategy and drive overall efficiency and marketing effectiveness for divisional marketing campaigns
• Establish divisional campaign benchmarks/KPIs and ensure they are consistently being met
• Collaborate with divisional marketers, the Paid Media Strategy & AdOps and Consumer Marketing teams and provide them with regular campaign reports with recommendations for budget re-allocation and channel optimization
• Activate upon first-party audience data support divisions through ad audience creation and distribution, while adhering to consumer data privacy regulations and in-house data security measures
• Formulate best practices, case studies, and advertising recommendations to divisional advertisers and marketers across the company
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience in performance marketing or digital advertising (Amazon, Facebook, Google), with experience in paid media analysis
• Ability to synthesize large data sets and distill data into actionable performance recommendations that all marketing stakeholders will understand
• Fluency in the language of digital marketing metrics and online measurement (CTR, CPM, ROAS, etc.)
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
• Exceptional written, verbal, and in-person presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage own projects in a fast-paced environment, as well as collaborate with and support efforts of the larger team
• Quick learner of new technologies and tools
• An eye for trends: both spotting them in data and identifying them in the advertising landscape
• Experience with web analytics tools like Adobe Analytics a plus
• Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) a plus
• Interest in children's/YA books a plus
